The original idea for a Reunion grew from the knowledge that there are several Family History researchers in the UK
and as far afield as Australia, New Zealand and the United States of America.

All seemed keen to visit Ashton village.
What better than to visit at the same time, to meet up with each other,
to exchange knowledge and establish new  family links?

The active interest in the local history shown by present day Ashton inhabitants
and the beauty of their village all added to the pleasure of this  “Ashton Roots Reunion”.
