OXLEY in our Langhorn line

Sarah Ann OXLEY (nee TOWNEND) was one of my Great Grandmothers.

This OXLEY family came from the Crofton area (just east of Wakefield) in the West Riding of Yorkshire (WRY).
I have transcribed some extracts from the Crofton Bishop's Transcripts which contribute to this Family History.

Sarah's ancestry currently shapes up as follows:

Richard

Joseph Oxley married Sarah Ann TOWNEND (1821-1889) in Wakefield on 12 May 1840.
The original records showed the surname of Joseph's father to be CROSLEY and the St Catherine's index also carries this mistake.
It took 9 years for this entry to be corrected to OXLEY (thanks to Neil Precious for this detective work!).
