**Richard TOWNEND my 5xGGF (1741-?) married Sallie/Sarah DOWNS (1735-1811) on 4 Feb 1762 in Felkirk, WRY.
Sallie DOWNS' parents were Jonathon DOWNS(?-1760) and Margret (?-1771, nee BEDFORTH) both were buried in Felkirk.
Many of the early family feature in my extracts of the Felkirk BT transcripts.
The family probably lived in South Hiendley and their 6 known children were Christened in Felkirk:
